Grab a friend or two and join me for an afternoon of creative fun in my home studio. In this one day workshop you will paint a silk scarf using professional silk dyes. All natural and non- toxic materials. Tara will fix the dyes for you. $120. What to Expect: 

•       Overview of dyes and resources. 

•       Gutta resist application and painting techniques

•       Direct dye application techniques: wet-on- dry, wet in wet, salt, alcohol, and glazing.

•       You will finish painting your scarf but it will not be ready not take home that day. Your scarf will need to dry, and cure for 24-48 hours before it is steamed for 2-3 hours in a steamer. Then rinsed, washed, rinsed and ironed (by Tara).
