Abundant Autumn Gelli-plate Printing Workshop October 16 /12-3pm
Follow your own creative path by exploring new ways to make marks. Inspired by the glory of autumn this workshop will focus on developing ideas inspired by the beauty of the season.
We will use found objects: leaves, sticks, dried flowers to create texture, patterns and designs on original notecards with a Gelli-plate and water-based paints.
All materials will be provided.
Use found objects: leaves, sticks, dried flowers, to make prints with a 5” x 7” Gelli-plate and water-based paints. We will spend time experimenting and exploring the possibilities of the materials before printing designs on high quality paper notecards.
Your paid $60. registration includes: instruction, all printing materials, paint, paper for experimenting and six high-quality 5” x 7” notecards (with envelopes). Class size limited to six.
About the Instructor: Tara Riley holds a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. After a career designing fashion accessories and theatrical costumes, Tara prioritized raising a family and worked part-time at her art. She received a MA in Art Education with a K-12 Art teaching certificate in 2010.Tara briefly taught art in public schools. Her family grown; she took the leap of faith to working exclusively as an artist in fall of 2022. Today, her scarves are in private collections throughout North America and Europe. Workshops held in a heated garage studio attached to my home in Arlington Heights Illinois. Exact address will be emailed to you after registration. If you cancel and We are not able to fill your spot, you will be refunded minus a $20. cancelation fee. If we cancel, you will receive full refund.
